It’s a small World in Hong Kong Disneyland

One of the most famous of all the rides at all the Disneylands in the world is the much loved “It’s A Small World.” I have to admit that this was a song I loved when I was a child as it was one of the first things I learned in a language that wasn’t Filipino.

We learned how to sing in German, French, English, and a few other languages. Sure, all we learned was “It’s a small world after all” but for a bunch of little kids, this was the first time that we were really exposed to the fact that we could travel all over the world and meet people from everywhere…and, I might add, that the world was a beautiful place and theres so much to discover.

With that being said, you can be sure that I took the time to enjoy the 15 minute boat cruise that takes you through Hong Kong Disneyland’s “It’s a small world.”

I really enjoyed looking at the dolls wearing different national costumes while singing their own version of the song…they seemed like they were alive and even though they were all very pleasant and nice, all it gave me was the last song syndrome.

By the way, you should really try it, especially if you have little ones with you. Looking at the façade of the colorful castle, theres no doubt, this is HK Disneyland’s largest indoor castle.

The ride takes the voyagers through thirty countries and some of the famous Disney characters also make an appearance. From the yodeling snows of the Alps to the hula hula of the Hawaiian Islands to the plains of Spain to a Mexican fiesta, we saw the world in less than twenty minutes and all along the way there was merriment and laughter too.

From Asia to Africa, the Middle East to the Americas, and of course wonderful Europe. And, lest we forget, there’s a world under the ocean too complete with Ariel the Mermaid.

This is a great ride and a great experience. It’s so nice that we care and it’s time we’re aware it’s a small world after all.
