The old proverb ‘Curiosity killed the cat’ has always been something that bothered me. Yes, wondering ‘What if?’ can certainly be dangerous, but life is pretty dull and boring for those who don’t have a whit of curiosity in their skulls.
Chef Sharwin Tee preparing Sliders for everyone
That’s why I’m happy to see the idea being thrown on it’s head with a great new show from the Lifestyle Network. As Filipinos we are more curious about one thing than any other…food! The show is going to star celebrity chef Sharwin Tee and to promote the show a bit, Chef Sharwin Tee came out and prepared a magnificent feast.
Well Done Sliders
The idea behind the show, called ‘Curiosity Got the Chef’ is that Chef Tee takes delicious Filipino recipes and tears them apart before rebuilding them in his own very quirky way. Using fresh local ingredients, this is a show about the fusion of ingredients and techniques and how they can come together in unexpected ways.
From classical Filipino and Asian recipes being modernized and updated to using techniques to prepare well known dishes that would shock your tutu, this show is all about the food…and the Chef. Sharwin Tee nurtured dreams of celebrity Chefdom from the time he watched Wok with Yan and idolized Chef Stephen Yan. He is a self described ‘Culinary Handyman’ and believes that fresh natural foods are the solution for many of life’s problems (with a good bit of humor thrown in too.)
If you love food, cooking, and the unexpected you should check this out. And forget about the cat getting killed by curiosity, that’s why he has nine lives!
Curiosity Got the Chef will show on Wednesday nights on the Lifestyle Network available on SkyCable channel 52, SunCable channel 25, channel 43 on SkyCable Cebu, channel 33 on SunCable Cebu and on channel 46 of Parasat Cable. Don’t miss the fun or the food.
